Data privacy statement

For statistical purposes and to improve our service, this website uses technology provided by piwik, an open source web analytics software, which evaluates and then deletes data. No other use is made of the data, and the data is not passed on to third parties.

Every time you visit a page on this website and every time you download a file, information about the activity is processed and stored in a temporary protocol file. Before it is stored, each data set is rendered anonymous by altering the IP address.

The following information is stored for each page you view and each file you download:

  • the computer’s address (IP address), in abbreviated form,
  • the page on which the file was requested,
  • the name of the downloaded file,
  • the date and time of your query,
  • the amount of data transferred,
  • the access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.), and
  • a description of the browser type used.

This data is analysed solely for the purpose of improving our service and will not be traced back to you.

Temporary session cookies are used each time you view an individual page, to make navigation easier. Cookies are small text files that are stored locally in your browser cache. Session cookies do not include any personal data and expire at the end of each session. We do not use methods such as Java applets or ActiveX controls that make it possible to track your browsing behaviour.

Website Analytics

Our website uses Piwik, a web analytics software. Piwik is using “cookies”, small text files, that are stored on your computer and are used for the purposes of analyzing website traffic. The data stored in the cookie (including an abbreviated IP address) is transfered to and stored on our server for the purpose of analyzing traffic, which is in turn helping us optimize our website. Your IP address is anonymized immediately, so that you remain anonymous as a user. The cookie information will not be shared with thrid parties. You can deactivate the usage of cookies directly inside your browser. Though, by deactivating cookies in general, it may be that you will not be able to use all of the functionality offered by our website. If you don’t want the data of your visit to be stored and analyzed, you may opt-out at any time by clicking the checkbox below. In case the opt-out option is clicked, a so called opt-out cookie is stored in your browser, which tells Piwik not to collect any session data from your visit. WARNING: In case you are deleting your cookies, you will also delete your opt-out-cookie. Therefore, if you visit our website again, you may have to check the opt-out option again, to avoid the tracking of your session.
